Community Productions was set up with the objective of enabling community groups to share their activities through the medium of television. From school productions, business association functions to cultural group events – Community Productions provides an affordable option for community groups to capture , record, archive and even broadcast their event.
The company has a long standing relationship with Triangle Television. This facilitates the process of securing a broadcast slot should the client wish the event be shared locally , regionally or nationally on Sky 89 or Freeview 21.
Footage is edited to broadcast length and standard should this service be required. All contract work with Triangle Television is handled by Community Productions on request.
Community events such as King of the Mountain, Santa Parade, Opening of Mayfair Place [ Glen Innes] and functions of The Ethio-Kiwi Sport and Cultural Society, The Tarot Guild of Aotearoa and The Panmure Historical Society are examples of work done.
Dvd’s of these events are also produced for archive or fundraising purposes. Community productions has dvd burning and duplicating equipment which also enables colour burning of images onto the dvd disc and insert covers. The conversion of old VHS tapes to dvd is also part of the service offered.
Local schools often make use of Community productions to film and edit their annual school productions. Recent work has been done for Pt. England School , St Pius X and Grey Lyn Primary.
Community Productions also specialises in setting up in house television programmes for schools. At present Tamaki Intermediate School makes use of the service for the production of their weekly programme called Tamaki Today.
Community Productions also has done work for The New Zealand Warriors covering the launch of “ Warriors Against Bullying “ programme run in South Auckland schools.
SchoolsInc Television is Community Productions’ major, ongoing community project. Working in partnership with 9 schools found along the Tamaki Edge in Auckland it produces a weekly programme which celebrates the learning happening at these schools. The programme seeks to raise student achievement, build self confidence and self esteem. Maori Television also commissioned ten half hour episodes of the programme.
